About me

I study how we "control" what they consciously experience from moment to moment by shifting their attention. I specifically explore how attention influences what we store into (or experience from) our personal store of memories. I'm generally interested in consciousness, meta-cognition, dreams, and other far-out stuff (like The Cambridge Declaration of Consciousness (2012)).

Out of the lab, I like to do yoga, meditate, scribble in my dream journal...

Research

I study attention in the Graziano Laboratory at Princeton University. My current research explores how we conceptualize other people's attention, using behavioral, physiological, neural, computational, and clinical paradigms.

For more detail, see my CV and github.

Mentoring

I've been honored to mentor over fifteen outstanding undergraduates, several of whom are now my co-authors, as well as two graduate students. I've also served as a role model via Letters to a Pre-Scentist, the Dartmouth Brain Bee, and the Richmond Middle School brain speaker series.
